Table Drilldown Animation

Here we have a table that has hidden columns that expand horizontally.

The goals are to: 1. Increase find-ability of the drill-down action. 2. Be clear about what happens on click. 3. Provide spatial context & keep users oriented.

Do you think it works? Other ideas? Anything at all? Thanks for your thoughts :)

Ideally, the tooltip would no longer display after 2 or 3 click conversions by the user.
