vbox logo
Kind of a weird one. Logo for a web module plugin - an image gallery viewer.
vbox = Viewer Box, like "lightbox", the common term for a web gallery viewer.
Green and purple cuz why not - it's a favorite combo and it looks hi-tek. The gallery viewer plugin isn't for sale or anything; doesn't require highly functional branding, so I went with a personal color combo pref, since just for fun.
the design thinkin' :
-Green grid represents 4 image thumbnails.
-All rects are 4:3 - my preferred image thumbnail proportion for websites.
-Back/Next buttons.
-Minimal characters allude to the plugin's minimal interface style.
-The large X is contained inside its rect - it depicts a wireframe image placeholder while also being the "x" in the name. Since the x is so different, it's natural to read the logo as saying "vbo" instead of "vbox". This is a secret stab at web dev because when I'm doing web stuff I'd always rather be working on my game projects and "vbo", in the game dev world, stands for Vertex Buffer Object, a fundamental of game performance optimization.
