Bookshellf πŸ““

Brief: A friend had an idea for a concept to create a product that sent you book "shells"/covers when you finished a book on Audible or Kindle. I researched the idea a bit to see what users would want the most.

Here area a few points from the research:

Problem - People like using Kindle or Audible to read, but miss the feeling of having a book in their hands and being able to see it on their bookshelf. - People need satisfaction when they complete a book. It’s more expensive to buy books, and even more to buy the book both digitally and physically and a waste of paper.

Key insights from user interviews and survey: - 100% of the participants liked the look of books on a shelf - 90% of the participants said that they would like automated suggestions on what to read next - When asked about what they like about hardcover books and dislike about reading digitally, the participants mentioned 6 times that they missed having a physical book

User Stories: - "When I finish reading a book, I want to adorn my bookshelf with covers, so I can have a good aesthetic in my home. " - "When I finish reading a book, I want to collect a personal prize, so I can feel satisfaction and pride. " - "When I’m looking for a new book to read, I want suggestions for books based on my previous reading history, so I can enjoy a new book right away and not search around"

The design was my final solution. We need a dribbble with more room for research, business requirements, sketches, wireframes, amirite? πŸ˜…
