Little Owl Tavern concept

A concept I worked on for an Italian restaurant influenced by the pageantry of Siena’s famous annual horse race. There are 17 wards that take part, with the district of Civetta being one of them. Civetta translates to “Little Owl.” I referenced the ornate costumes, symbols, patterns and more to combine elements of tradition with a modern palette and custom lettering. This idea didn’t make the cut but I dug the direction it was headed in.
