Finplan Avatars #1

During the redesign of the “FinPlan” (Financial Plan) process of a large project-management application, I found a few different use-cases that warranted the use of avatars.

During the “choose solutions” phase, users are presented with account options which will meet a need that they expressed in an earlier step. The most-salient details of the account options are presented inline with each option. However, two auxiliary options are also presented via an action-overflow menu.

The “contact managers” option is meant to provide a quick way to initiate contact with those who have purview over the project of interest.

These organizations have the concept of proxy managers. Those proxies have the authority to act on the behalf of the “regular” managers if the regular manager is unavailable. One natural case where this comes into play is when one of the regular managers is on vacation.

In the second artboard, we see how I handled this vacation case with the avatar. In FinPlan Avatars #2, I will show another case where I added a semantic icon badge to an avatar.
