I struggle with listening. It's the curse of an overactive mind.
My brain refuses to rest during conversation; always processing what I want to say next.

ADD is at least partially to blame. Another culprit is a lack of skill. I've been taught all sorts of useful skills. But no one trains us how to listen to and understand people in a meaningful way.

Amazingly, sometimes the farther apart we are, the better we listen.

A great example is demonstrated in how NASA communicates with astronauts orbiting 254 miles above the Earth in the ISS.
