Developing Logo and Brand elements (UI&UX Design for Datoris)

Here's a preview of the process of developing logo and Brand elements for a web app I've been working on.

As a UI/UX designer one of my tasks was to develop brand elements for the web app which will deliver data visualizations. Through the brand discovery process we revealed Datoris as an owl, with sincere personality.

I wanted the pictogram to represent the simplicity of the charts and having a friendly owl as a mascot would reflect the brand's personality. So I ended up with a very stylized form that builds an owl when mirrored.

I thought that doodles and hand-writings very well represent the brand, but there's not much space for it across the app, so I thought it's a must for logo tagline. And it really brought an immediate breath of warmth and friendliness to the wireframes.
