Smithers

I am largely inspired by pop culture and the icons within it, especially when it comes to animations and the cartoons I watched growing up. As a lot of my work has a somewhat morbid undertone, the composition of Waylon Smithers as a grim reaper was a simple decision. By incorporating his personality, I knew that he would not have a traditional black cloak and I saw a good opportunity to include the liquorice whip, from the famous "Crack that Whip" scene, as part of the scythe.
