Super16 Wrestling hero illustration

Working on a tee shirt for the "Super 16 Wrestling Tournament"

I want to have a hero illustration displayed prominently on the shirt.

I've been inspired by the works of designer and artist Tyler Micoleau (1911-2001) as well as Theodore Geisel's more traditional sketches, and wanted to take a shot at combining the things I like most from both's art styles.

This was an exploration I really enjoyed. Now I'll be taking this and working it into an actual typographic lockup to complete the final tee design.
