Yoga Poster

I designed a logo and poster for a yoga workshop.

I use a recurring motif of circles here. The circle also represents your world and protection bubble, surrounded by your cocoon, you can’t control the whole world around you but can control your little world surrounding you. The circle represents where we invite people to store their intentions. Inside the circle is us, at the root of our intentions. The figure inside is performing a yoga balancing pose. Balancing poses are all about strength and focus. The instant we lose focus, we fall over. There is an unavoidable immediacy to these balancing asanas, being in the now. Inevitably, we lose balance, wobble a bit, maybe fall over, and then pick ourselves up and get back into position. Just like our lives. It doesn’t hurt when we fall over and can be quite fun and silly, making sure we’re not taking ourselves too seriously.

I have used a muted yet warm colour palette for serenity as well as energy and inner strength. I created a marbled ink background to symbolise the ever changing landscape we are navigating and the beauty of this.
