We knew the signs, we’ve seen it all: coffee is happening everywhere. Every corner of your street, every empty spaces, turned into hip locale coffee shop in overnight. Instagrammable & wi-fi-abundant. Cute latte-arts and cordial baristas. But what was coffee before all this? On the grassroot locale, it’s their morning prayer before embarking for the day. Further back, in the ancient times, the drink was dubbed as “drink of satan”. Simply because it has the effect on what we’re currently craving for: the adrenaline. The wakefulness. It seeps to the Indian culture as catalyst for their rituals, inducing visions. Something like a drug. Only after the pious stamped their approval, coffee travels everywhere. It becomes drink of the God. Here’s what we’re doing. We celebrate the drug. We dig on its journey, from plantations to that drinkable, legal drug in your cup. With you, we’ll travel through time and places, with a decent cup of coffee. Let’s have a ride.
