Bad Omen

I really enjoy illustrating working class people from centuries ago. Their day-to-day was so different from what most of us are use to now. Collecting firewood in the 17th-century America must have been a chore you could freak yourself out doing. Being in the woods, by yourself, in a country that is not your own, could probably stir up what a few apparitions in one's mind. Here, we have a fellow who is seeing bad omens everywhere he looks.
