The Golden Lizard

Legend has it that somewhere deep in the Endless Desert there lives the Golden Lizard. An ancient creature of a great beauty - and of a small size. It spends most of it's days among the sands doing the things legendary lizards are supposed to do.

Every once in a while it gets close to the Old City and looks down upon it from the high dunes, yet never enters.

Legend also has it that if you spot the Lizard and follow it back into it's cave, hidden somewhere below the sands of the Endless Desert, it will lead you to an immense treasure.

Over the many, many years the Lizard has seen countless explorers and adventurers looking to find the Golden creature. But none of them has spotted the Lizard so far.

And so the Golden Lizard keeps the secret of the treasure to itself, spending most of it's days among the sands doing the things legendary lizards are supposed to do.
