St. Mark's Lion for Sosta Cucina Venetian Cuisine

An Illustration I did for the branding for Sosta Cucina, showing an stylized depiction of St. Mark's Lion, the symbol of the city of Venice, Italy.

Sosta Cucina is a Venetian-inspired wine bar and eatery in Hermosa Beach, California. It was a pleasure to create this piece of artwork for the reopening of the restaurant, in late 2018.

From The Daily Breeze: "In keeping with his desire to bring a little Venice to Hermosa Beach, the circular sign will sport an image of a golden winged lion called The Lion of Saint Mark, which represents the Saint of Venice and is the symbol of the city." Full text here
