Tech Detox: Minimal Mobile OS

"A reupload to update the screens."
There have been many scenarios recently where everyone is trying to control, monitor their usage of the technology and trying to move away from technology, social media, and its usage. This is my take on a similar issue.

A minimal yet efficient mobile device that is catered to fill your needs and also keeps a user isolated from the world of social media. We are getting to the basics again.
--------------------------------------------------
Thought:
Need a simple mobile device that can help a user with their daily needs but also put them away from social media consumption.
--------------------------------------------------
Approach: An old school inspired device utilizing the latest technology advancements and using only a limited set of tools combined with a simple UI and UX. I call it a remastered 90s mobile phone. Let me explain.
1. Use of Wifi, Bluetooth, 4G, responsive touch screen and all the latest advancements that have remodified how we use the internet and the devices in this age and time.
2. No availability of any browser compatibility, social media access, or app store(s). This will restrict the user to the default available tools which should be more than enough to get along in a day without many compromises.
3. Special Feature Set: Book a cab service, maps for directions, checking emails.
--------------------------------------------------
This minimal approach will allow a user to have their daily needs met regardless of a normal person or a professional.
A complete move away from the tech need not be a device that is just an old school technology with small screens, laggy touch inputs, no wifi, or no internet. Even though the changes we have seen might have caused a damaged in few scenarios, many technological advancements have made our life efficient. We can embrace them.

This device concentrates on the reduction of the usage of tools rather than reducing the utilization of technology.
