ThisSongIsSick Redesign

I've been keeping up with ThisSongIsSick.com for over 5 years. Their recent redesign got me thinking how I would approach a music blog design.

For this design, I wanted to explore a simple landing page view with a hero module and a basic blog post promo. Since the site encourages scrolling and currently uses infinite scrolling/lazy loading, I felt confident dedicating full-width containers to promos. After wireframing out the blocks with actual content and metadata, I sprinkled in brand colors and some strategically placed flourishes. What I'm left with is a clean, slick, and simple design that fits alls types of media.
