Wordsmith

Needed a header/featured image for the articles index on my new portfolio site. I wanted it to match the illustrations I usually create for my articles, so out came Sketchbook.

Finished it last night while watching Miraculous Adventures of Lady Bug and Cat Noir with my daughter.

The original intent was a simply a guy who is getting ready to attack the keyboard and produce an article with great vigor. As I worked on it, it started looking more like he was conjuring an article from the dark depths of the digital realms. Since that is often how it feels, I chose to go with it and pushed it with the lighting. The banana subliminally recalling to mind a crescent moon was unintended, but also worked in that direction.
