Room 237

An oldie, but one of my favorite illustrations to date.

As a Journalism student desperately trying to teach myself design in free moments, I challenged myself to study scenes from my favorite movie (and book!!) of all time, The Shining.

I sketched basic outlines, vectorized in Illustrator, and then digitally painted all detail and lighting in Photoshop. I had a blast, didn't sleep, and learned a hell of a lot.
