A Beard That Connects

Growing hair is both my superpower and my curse. On some days I feel more beard than face :)

So this one time, when my daughter was about 3yo, she yells out to a crowd of people waiting for the bus near the Metro station as my wife was picking me up after work, "have you seen my dad? He's got black hair and a beard that connects!"

It was such a funny and literal way to describe facial hair that it has stuck in our family ever since.
