Calc X

This is the Calc X, a clean calculator app built for the user that wants more productivity with less noise.

The Calc X was inspired by 4 major problems I encountered on the iphone calculator app.
1. The upper buttons were a bit out of reach when being used with one hand.
2. There's no history of older calculations.
3. Inability to perform more complex calculations in portrait mode.
4. There's no way to see the operation in progress, I just have to memorize it and assume all my entries are correct.

I went ahead to rethink this calculator design and these are the solutions I arrived at;

1. The Calc X design makes the buttons more reachable, as they cover only 54% of the display.

2. The history is displayed by swiping up from the bottom of the keypad, so the user can see older calculations made.

3. The user can view more buttons to perform more complex operations just by swiping from right to left on the numeric area of the keypad. (Unfortunately, this can only be seen when I post the prototype)

4. Also, the display shows boldly, the current entry the user is making, and under it, the preceding entry made by the user. This serves as an effective response system, keeping the user fully aware of the operation in progress.
