Business Card 2019
These are the new business cards I started using with my Etsy shop. I designed these in Illustrator and had them professionally printed, but this is a mockup I did in Photoshop earlier this week.
This is also a new logo I switched to in 2018. The card includes typefaces and icons that match the website I'm currently working on. The background colors also come from the website design.
I designed the ampersand logo because I was already unofficially calling my business "Art & Designs by Jeremy Mallin", which originated at the Twitter handle I chose years ago. The bold rainbow colors were chosen to match my personality, but also to nod to diversity and inclusion, values that are important to me personally.
My old logo was similar in style but focused more on me personally, using a "JM" graphic instead of an ampersand. The ampersand was a conscious decision to be more about the art, the business, and the services. The old logo was square with the graphic cut out at a 45 degree angle. I felt that was a bit stuffy. This one is circular and makes much more use of curves than the straight lines and sharp angles of the old logo.
I intentionally kept the text simple, with just basic Internet contact information. The various websites and social media platforms referenced already have all the remaining information that my clients and customers might need.
