“The Heart of the Soul Pt. 1” is an overture to a music series exploring themes of identity, religion, politics and mental health. The artwork features 4 vignettes, each contrasting the sometimes dark lyric subject matter, with light as a metaphor of strength. Samuel was used throughout the artwork to represent his vulnerability as an artist, musician and writer.
