Numetric's New Metrics 😏

Shortly after I arrived at Numetric, we came to the realization that our charting capabilities were lacking. The framework we were using at the time wasn't performant or very flexible and that among other things, made it difficult to offer an experience our users were expecting. So, we decided to look at other options. In the process, we not only were able to introduce new chart types and a lot of new functionality but also a completely new (and much needed) aesthetic and visual design.

Designing BI software brings with it plenty of challenges. Especially when it comes to designing the chart building experience and the charts themselves. Our chart builder offers so many different variations that it is near impossible to account for every single one. It was important up front to keep the design as simple as possible because the further we got into the redesign we discovered more and more we would need to account for.

After files and files of pages and pages of artboards and artboards :), we were able to build a pretty great looking analytics platform. MAJOR props to our incredible engineering team that meticulously cared for the experience and seriously nailed it.
