Coat of Arms

For Christmas this year I really wanted to make my dad something from scratch. We both are interested in coat of arms' and family crests, so I thought it would be the perfect idea.

I dove head first into the research and symbolism behind every part that makes up a coat of arms and pulled imagery that i thought best represented my family.

Each and every item in this design has a direct tie and meaning to my family's history and heritage and was an absolute blast to work through. I made each element from scratch which I normally don't have the gift of time to do with my day job, so it means a lot to me to have full ownership of every detail.
