I’ve been a bit obsessed with my iPad and have taken to exploring raw creativity again and it feels so good. It’s amazing how much 3 years of grad school changed the way I create. It’s almost like I have forgotten what it means to just make something without limitations or instructions. A goal of mine in 2018 was to remind myself of what it means to just freely create and to flex that muscle more often. I plan on working on that in 2019 as well. Hell, it will probably be a lifelong task. I still struggle with sitting down without more direction, but so far I’m having fun and that’s probably the most important thing at the moment.
