PARTY! Sprinkles

Sprinkles as a product are fun to begin with. They're something that you see on the shelf and you are immediately brought back to childhood memories of sugar cookies, doughnuts, birthday cake, and ice cream sundaes. I've never thought the classic packaging embraced that fun childhood aspect of the product. I chose to try and make the packaging as eco-friendly and fun as possible. Sprinkles are a party! I modelled the general shape of the packaging after a milk carton to eliminate the plastic case while keeping a pourable and reclosable package. The design visually is dipped in icing and sprinkles using simple typefaces of Signpainter and Futura. Futura to match the geometric aspect of sprinkle shapes and a script font to match the fluidity of the icing drooping lines. Finally, I landed on a final package design that is less classic, and more youth-like.
