High Bandwidth Plan Takeover

We recently introduced expanded High Bandwidth coverage areas at Hologram. Previously, our Flexible Data plans were the only global plan and dedicated High Bandwidth plans were only available in the United States on T-Mobile.

Now, we introduced the ability to customize your High Bandwidth plan coverage to include all carriers in the US (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and regional carriers) or available globally. This added a bit of complexity on how to pivot the coverage and pricing options without just reverting to a giant rate table.

Additionally, because of the high cost of global high bandwidth plans — we needed to effectively manage sticker-shock. So, we updated the pricing area to highlight “effective MB” rate as a reliable comparison metric. (IoT data plans are usually higher in cost because per device data use and monthly line access fees are lower than your standard phone bill — we're talking a family plan with tens of thousands of lines! Isn't telecom billing fun!? 😅)

This entire experience exists inside our new multi-step takeover component — which has had a massive improvement on our task completion rates.
