Kits Mural

Mural commission by BC Culture Days, Evo Car Share, and the City of Vancouver (2017). The brief was to represent the surrounding Kits neighbourhood and to involve the community. My design speaks to its location in Kitsilano, featuring the iconic view of the sunset from the beach through the framing device of the word ‘Kits,’ while also engaging the community: I designed the mural so that it could be executed by many hands. The piece was completed on schedule in four days, rain and shine, with the help of a hardworking team of more than twenty volunteers.
