Manicure Robot

I have spent more time failing at a background on this than actually painting this robot. I now realize that is my weakest point. Even this feels like I phoned it in.

That said I'm super happy with my progress learning paint, texture and lines.

What resolution do you use in photoshop? I keep finding all the brushes small, then realizing the image size 7000px wide.
