Didot

Most people are familiar with various typeface names, but few have thought about the face behind the font. While Nicholas Jensen and Giambattista Bodoni created classic typefaces, they did so in different time periods and with differing technologies. I modernized a portrait of Firmin Didot so that viewers less familiar with type design would remember that Didot (and other typefaces) are the result of a specific person or type foundry and to remember their contribution.
