Internshala Chat Feature

Internshala Chat feature is an in product chat option for employers and students in which all the email conversations are supposed to be done within the platform itself. The employer will not be shown the email address of the applicant to avoid any contact attempt from third party emailing platform.

Objective and hypothesis: To improve the UX of both students and employers. There are employers who contact the students externally, the students do not get any notification prompting them to reply. By having a chat option in the portal (and hiding students contact details), Internshala will be able to send reminders to students and hence increase the rate of reply by students which would lead to the more number of students getting hired for internship.
