Spotify Offline Music

A concept prototype I did a while ago for teaching purposes.

What prompt me to rethink this flow was that I constantly struggle to find offline music throughout the app. Filters, in my opinion, are not that intuitive and to some extent a little hidden. Also, I miss an easy/global way to manage and view the music that is stored in my device.

Knowing that downloaded (or offline) music inside Spotify revolves solely around albums and playlists, I designed the feature as an extra layer within the "Your Library" IA that abstracts the complexity of finding offline music by grouping stored albums/playlists into a single page, with the option to remove each item individually or globally. It also lets you know how much music (in GB) you have stored.

Disclaimer 1: Noticed that Spotify recently changed the bottom menu bar (28/Nov/18) but main point is still relevant.
Disclaimer 2: I ignore the technical and quite possibly also legal constraints of doing this, so it's merely an exercise in envisioning a solution.

Feel free to comment if you share this approach or have another one. Also huge shout out to the @Spotify design team for making an awesome app overall.
