Adelaide

Adelaide is a research on optical sizes. The design is based on a specimen from the early ‘900 by the type foundry Nebiolo, the biggest type and printing equipment manufacturer in Italy. To achieve the same shapes at different sizes, letters were changed completely: the difference between a 9 point cut and a 120 point is astonishing. The texture generated by straight lines and rounds endings really interested me, so I decided to digitalize it and take some design choices to achieve consistency throughout the complete design.
