Guitar Lettering

Back in June one of my best friends's lost his dad to cancer. He was also one of the people to inspire me to become a graphic designer, and especially to work from home, doing a job he loved while being around for his kids. Countless days I would just "Pop in" to see him in his garden studio, to soak up the creativity and knowledge that he had. "Alright Farmyard" was his usual greeting to me, never letting on if I was distracting him from his work or not.

It was my friend's birthday recently so I decided to give him a hand-lettered guitar with the lyrics from "Blackbird" by The Beatles, the song played at his dad's funeral. I thought it would be a good synergy of his love for music and his love for art.
