Jet homepage personalization for returning users

There was always this unsolved question at Jet: when and where we should capture user's first name. On one hand, we need user's first name to make the experience more human and personalized; on the other hand, we hate to be intrusive and greedy during people's shopping trips, asking them more and more for their personal information.

I took the initiatives to explore some new concepts to make the first name inputting experience easier and more seamless. Here is a version that everybody love! Instead of burying the first name input field deep down under the my account section like we used to do, I put the first name field very prominent on the homepage. Users can directly start typing once they landed on our site, which makes it frictionless and fun. It is launching soon on Jet homepage for returning users.
