Ginkgo

Ginkgo is a really weird word, and I think there's absolutely no call for the second g. The name comes from the Chinese word for "silver apricot", and it's one of the world's oldest tree species at 350 million years and counting. New age people love rubbing it all over themselves and eating it because it supposedly helps with health and circulation. The leaves are very unique, and that's pretty nifty. 9.5/10
