Copic + Micron pattern

Last year Sherry got me a Sketchbox subscription as a gift. One of them came with a set of four Copic markers.
.
I’d always been curious about the Copic markers but never pulled the trigger on a purchase because there are too many colors to choose from and I just stand there staring at the rack. I also don’t work with markers enough to justify buying a set just to play with. They aren’t cheap.
.
Anyway, back when they came in the monthly box, I wasn’t all that excited about them and tossed them into my “Bin o’ Random Shit” where they sat for a few months until last night when I finally got the itch to see what they felt like.
.
I doodled this while watching a few episodes of The 100 with Griffin (great show btw). I dig it. Adding color that is... I did find that coloring the paper first made the fountain pen not work as well, bleed, undesirable line quality... so I went back to the Micron (.03) for this doodle but process, order of operation is something I’ll need to consider now if I intend to hand color.
.
I have issues with using color in my sketchbooks though. This will be a bit of a struggle to incorporate into something that occurs regularly. I’ve been coloring on the computer for so long, coloring the paper kinda wigs me out. There’s no “undo” key command on a marker.
.
What do you guys think?
