Ninja mushroom

It’s Friday and I just finished helping my kids with some lessons and needed burn a quick itch to make something.
So I just had fun and made a mushroom.

It looks part ninja turtle and part mushroom. Been trying some new colors. I’m a big fan of blue and orange but I gotta be brave and stretch out that comfort zone.

Most of my colors are inspired by the most unlikely places. A color palette that I’ve created a while ago was inspired by my kids colored plate and bowl sets.

Recently I’ve been inspired by the bright colors used on the covers of a manga called Dr. Slump. I’ve been a big fan of that manga series for years and never finished collecting it. One of these days I hope I can.
