Disney Plus Logo Redesign

Disney announced a new streaming service yesterday (neat!), but I felt like the logo was a little off. I mainly found the plus to feel a little awkward and unsubstantial. So, I did a really quick experiment to see how I might improve it. The main change was ditching the plus and creating a new one that felt of similar weight. The plus here is designed using pieces of the "i" in "Disney." This helps give it a similar weight and brings some of the character of the wordmark into it.

The ring around the plus was partly because I couldn't well replicate the arc from the original, which now also felt odd without the curved "plus." However, this circle felt like something that could function well as a stand-alone mark or app icon.
