Why Bit?

A bit (short for binary digit) is the smallest unit of data in a computer. It has a single binary value, either 0 or 1.

Why Cube?

Cube, short for cubicle, is defined as an office work space. Also, digital pixels are visually represented as tiny squares, so if you view a square as a 3D object, it becomes a cube.
