Match Report

My friends at Sports-Reference recently launched their world football site, FBREF.com. They recently acquired data for match reports, so they sent me over the data dump wondering if I had any recommendations for displaying the data. Obviously, this is the type of thing that's right in my wheelhouse, so I've been giving them some suggestions.

S-R has a very basic visual style and pattern library, so I wanted to stay within these restrictions so the page didn't appear to be a huge departure. But there's a lot of data and I wanted to make sure I could display as much data as possible using minimal real estate and a light data footprint.
