American Horror Gothic

So there's one more crazy halloweenish and famous art inspired illustration. This time it is Grant Woods »American Gothic«. I have always been scared of the original artwork: the serious, strict and even kind of angry couple gazing into the camera. I had the idea to convert the painting to a fully horrific illustration. The man was holding a pitchfork in his hands, which had to be replaced with something scarier. The house in the background is inspired by Tim Burton. I'm planning to do a Tim Burton inspired illustration of the famous angels from "Raphael's »Sistine Madonna«. Hope you are not too scared. There is someone else on the image beside the couple.
