Stern Winery Label

The winning design entry in the Jewish National Fund's Wine Label Design Contest for Stern Winery's newest, soon-to-be-released kosher wine. Stern Winery is a family-owned boutique winery in Israel’s Western Galilee.

My concept was to incorporate the "S" from Stern, a vertical half of a wine glass, and a grape vine. The label would be clear to emphasize the design. White for dark glass bottles and black for light colored bottles. See this design here: http://www.daniellehalpern.net/stern-winery

The concept was then simplified, to give a sleek and elegant look by representing the "S" in Stern and the vertical half of a wine glass. This allowed the winery to change the color of the "S" to coordinate with the wine's grape combinations.
