Typositor Blog Design
I'm launching a blog soon at typositor.com called, appropriately enough, Typositor. If you're under 40 the word "typositor" has no meaning, but at one time it was the only way to set display type. I used the machine on my first job in a type house in 1977.
Everyone kept telling me that I needed to create a blog as a companion for my e-commerce site, TypographyShop, but I felt that the last thing these internets needed was another design or typography blog.
When the title hit me and the domain name was available I decided to dedicate the blog primarily to pre-digital technology and design. A number of writers I respect are contributing and I've put out calls for retirees from typesetters to printers and art directors for interviews.
The sprockets don't exist in the design. Not sure why dribbble added them.
