Swing Dance Fitzroy

Illustration and branding created for my swing dance classes in Melbourne. The illustrations are based off two dancers from the 1930s: Leon James and Willa Mae Ricker. The challenge was to create two relatively genderless figures to encourage our dancers to break away from traditional dance 'roles'. We teach our students to celebrate jazz and connection with their partner, so our branding needed to communicate a feeling of being welcome and expressing joy.
