Janani Suraksha
Design Brief:
ASHA workers are local women in the villages who are trained as health educators and monitors.
One key function that they do is monitor and maintain the health record of pregnant women in the village.
Currently they maintain records using booklets. Now that every ASHA worker has a smart phone of her own and most villages have mobile networks, the ministry of health has decided to
create a smart phone application to maintain the records.
This is expected to reduce the errors in digitising data, improve the speed with which the data reaches the government, and enable better monitoring of health outcomes.
