Self Blinded
AI illustration/Photography
Art responding to submissions for HYPHEN Fall 2018 Issue of ICONOCLAST.
DESCRIPTION:
What parts of you are most prevalent today? Will your answer be the same tomorrow? Is the self ever cohesive, or must it always be a multitude of fluctuating, contradicting parts? Tell us, show us, how the many worlds you partake in interact with each other. Do you feel a tension between your selves, or do the parts of you enhance each other? Do your selves always move with you, or are they bound to the different physical settings in your life? Do you hyphenate yourself—third-year, French-Canadian, pre-med—or were the hyphens bestowed upon you, labelling you ex-friend, would-be artist, sister-in-law? As your life has continued and fractured and reformed itself, which hyphens have you lost? Which have you gained? (Retrieved from http://iconoclastuwo.com/submit/)
This is a response to myself as well, a fragmented myself.
