Film screening poster for Dena Seidel

The goal of this project was to create an event poster for a film screening and Q&A for Dena Seidel while being required to use every bit of information given me by ‘the client’ about the event. This included not shortening the date and time or editing the author and event descriptions. In turn, his project provided a good example of how to create a successful, satisfying piece using design constraints that could be given you by a client you may or may not agree with.
The film was a dry documentary about the arctic tundra, so I chose to use simple, sans serif type, a color palate and design elements reminiscent of old, yellowed Life magazines, and a title that alludes to the movement of glaciers moving past one another.
