Hounsfield Measurement using iPad

As part of Ensemble UX design project, we tried to answer how an iPad based PACS system can replace various methods in the existing, cumbersome CT (scan) workflow.

Most challenging part of the project was, how to replace-
• a multi-display, multi-input, voice-powered, medical-grade computer system
with
• an iPad w/ limited number of gestures and external peripherals

Here, you see the use of HU, a unit of measurement doctors refer to for differentiating different substance (e.g. water, fat, soft tissue, lung and muscle) types.
