About the Beer: Single Malt, Single Hop, and 100% Local. Our first Smash Beer of the year is hopped to the max with locally grown Chinooks from our friends at Bluebell Hopyard in Farmington, NY. For those that don't know, Smash beers are a relatively new concept which breaks brewing down to its basic elements and emphasizes the flavor of a single malt and single hop variety. This beer is based solely on NYS 2 row yielding a smooth taste with slight grain aroma on the nose. However, it's the hops intense spice flavor and pine characteristics imparting a subtle grapefruit note that makes this brew. Sometimes simple is better.
